SEND Offer

At Brodetsky Primary, we greatly value the diversity of our pupils. We encourage an inclusive ethos where staff and pupils value and respect each regardless of their social background, ethnicity, academic ability or health. There is a place here for everyone alongside their peers in their local community.

As an inclusive community, we are deeply committed to removing the barriers to learning and participation that can hinder or exclude individual pupils, or groups of pupils. Equality of opportunity is a reality for all our children within school and our staff work hard to ensure that all children have a fulfilling learning experience. This includes support to all our parents, as we understand the vital role our families play in the well-being and development of their children and the importance of working together as a team.

The four broad areas of SEND need are:

  • communication and interaction.
  • cognition and learning.
  • social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
  • sensory and/or physical needs.

If you have any concerns regarding your child’s learning and development; social and emotional or mental and physical needs, then please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Simons at lsimons@brodetsky.org

Accessibility Plan

Leeds Local Offer

You can access the Leeds Local Offer for SEND on their website here

This provides information for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their parents in a single place. It shows families what they can expect from a range of local agencies including education, health and social care. It provides families with the information to make informed choices about services they chose to use.

The Leeds Local Offer has also developed a Facebook group for parents and carers of children with special educational needs and disabilities. The Facebook group is platform for us to share with family’s key service updates, events, consultations and much more. You can access the group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/leedslocaloffer
